A New York apothecary turned skin-care brand since 1851, whose one perfume is Original Musk, first made as an oil.
Kiehl's began in 1851 as a pharmacy on Third Avenue and 13th Street in Manhattan. Irving Morse, who bought it in 1921, made its first own products, Original Musk Oil among them; L'Oréal has owned it since 2000.
