Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian's own house, its scents sold as a 'fragrance wardrobe'; Baccarat Rouge 540, made first for Baccarat crystal, is the one people know.
Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, who made Le Male for Jean Paul Gaultier at 26, opened his own house near Place Vendôme, Paris, in 2009 with business partner Marc Chaya. LVMH bought a majority in 2017; Kurkdjian still leads its perfumes. Trade press reports that lower-priced brands widely imitate its best-known perfume.
