Natural absolute from leaves of Carphephorus odoratissimus.
Where it comes from
wild-harvested in the southeastern United States

What perfumers do with it
Adds natural hay-tobacco sweetness to fougères, tobacco and amber accords.
Worth knowing
Its leaves were long used to flavour and scent pipe tobacco.
