Oakcha, by its own account based in New York, began online around 2020 with strong, low-priced perfumes modelled on famous luxury ones. It added scents of its own and others made with a TikTok reviewer, and reached Ulta Beauty's shelves in August 2026. Trade press describes many of its perfumes as lower-priced versions of famous designer and luxury ones, and Oakcha itself names the perfume each is 'inspired by'; its partner calls them 'impressions'.
