German pen maker whose men’s perfumes, made by Interparfums, are led by Legend (2011) and Explorer (2019).
August Eberstein and Alfred Nehemias set out in 1906 to make a fountain pen that needed no inkwell; the firm settled in Hamburg and took the name Montblanc. Richemont has owned it since 1993. Perfume came in 2001; Interparfums has made it since 2010.
