Opulent perfumes from Oman built on frankincense; Interlude Man and Reflection Man are its best known.

Amouage was founded in Muscat in 1983 by Sayyid Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, with royal backing, to carry Oman's perfume heritage abroad. Guy Robert made its first perfume, Gold; today outside perfumers work under creative chief Renaud Salmon.

Owned by

SABCO, an Omani group, keeps control; L’Oréal has held a minority share since February 2025. Checked September 2026.
